I arrived in my new community on Sunday, January 22. It did not take me too long to unpack both the suitcases I brought with me, as well as the boxes I had sent ahead of me.
The convent is located above the book center--so my commute is just a flight of stairs! Not bad, huh?
Let me introduce you to the sisters in my community.
Sr. Chiara spent many years in Latin America. She helps out in the Spanish section. |
Sr. Cesarina, the Superior. |
Sr. Tarcisia is our accountant! Love her! |
Sr. Giovanna spent many years in Toronto. She is in charge of the English Section. |
Sr. Lorenza spent about 30 years in Pakistan. She also helps out in the English section. |
Sr. Tommasa who takes care of the Portuguese section. |
Sr. Ercolina is in the Italian section. She also helps me out with my Italian. She explains when I have said something wrong in a way that I can understand! |
Sr. Donata works in the French section. |
Monday was my first day in our book center. I will be spending a week in each department (Audio-visual, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, English). In that way, I'll be able to help out in various sections when needed. I started out in the audio-visual section which is the smallest section. Our two employees who work in this section, Rita and Marcello, both speak English. Thank God! As they introduced me to the computer program, and the stock, it was helpful to be able to figure out what the English equivalents of the terms are so that I can understand what I am doing!
I had a great week! I'll leave you with a photo of our book center.
I a so happy for you.
